The Strathmore Polominos are a community water polo club based in Strathmore Alberta. We offer programs for youth ages 6-17.
SWIM LIKE A DOLPHIN (Co-ed)
Our Swim Like a Dolphin programs offer a fun and engaging introduction to the sport for young athletes (ages 6-8years) . Participants will build foundational swimming and water polo skills—all while having fun. Swim Like a Dolphin runs in two sessions: September to December and January to April. No City League, games or tournaments outside of practice time.
12U/14U/18U Water Polo Program (Co-ed) Learn to Play Program and Play to Compete Program
Our 12U/14U/18U program is designed for swimmers learning to swim and play water polo. Swimmers develop essential swimming and water polo skills in a supportive and enjoyable environment. Option to participate in City League about 2x/month on Sunday nights (MNP Calgary). Athletes have the opportunity to compete in separate Pups festivals, fall tournaments from September to December and in the Winter Provincial League from January to April. - Respect in Sports for Parents: Register here 1 parent must complete the Respect in Sport Parent program and submit the certificate number during online registration. Certifications from other programs (like hockey or soccer) are acceptable.

You will be paying your Alberta Water Polo Association and Water Polo Canada Fees directly to these organizations through RAMP (the online registration). Strathmore Water Polo Club fees are paid directly yo the club (cash, cheque, or e-transfer)
3. Registration payment to the Strathmore Water Polo Club :
Club fees can be paid in person to a board member at the pool or via e-transfer to strathmorewaterpoloclub@gmail.com. For payment arrangements, email the SWP club.

Swim Like a Dolphin (SLAD) Ages 6-8years (co-ed) The goal of the program is to prepare children to lean to swim and play water polo while having fun. Once completing a program they should feel confident in their swimming skills and be prepared to play water polo if they chose to continue with a club in a recreational or competitive environment. Professional Coaching, pool rental, AWPA and WPC fees, equipment, water polo caps, marketing. Delivery of the “Swim Like a Dolphin” program.
NO additional mandatory fundraising. This may be required for Provincial level players

Athletes may incur additional costs if they choose to participate at the Provincial level OR play in Community League.
