The Strathmore Polominos are a community water polo club based in Strathmore Alberta. We offer programs for youth ages 6-17. 

We accept ongoing registration

Swim Like a Dolphin is a fantastic opportunity to grow grassroots water polo. It makes learning to swim fun and develops a love for water polo. The goal of the program is to prepare children to learn to swim and play water polo while having fun.

🤽 12U / 14U / 17U Co-ed Strathmore Practices 6:30-7:30pm
This program is for new or returning athletes who want to developing their swimming and water polo skills! Time spent on swim technique, water polo skills and FUN! 
INCLUDES-City League, festivals, invitationals and Provincial Finals opportunities-participation is encouraged but not mandatory.

12U,14U,17U swimmers must be able to swim the width of the pool (belts are acceptable) and comfortable in the middle of the pool.

⭐ Twice-Weekly Best Value Option
Athletes wanting maximum skill development and additional pool time
Coach recommendation: “The more you practice, the better you get!” The twice-weekly option is offered at a reduced rate compared with the equivalent pool and coaching time in the single-day packages.

Professional Coaching, pool rental, AWPA and WPC fees, equipment, water polo caps, marketing.  Delivery of the “Swim Like a Dolphin” program.

Team suits (optional), with our logo, can be ordered. 
Athletes may incur additional costs if they choose to participate at the Provincial level OR play in Community League.

STEPS TO COMPLETE REGISTRATION

1 Respect in Sports for Parents: Register here 1 parent must complete the Respect in Sport Parent program and submit the certificate number during online registration. Certifications from other programs (like hockey or soccer) are acceptable. YOUR REGISTRATION NEEDS TO BE CURRENT. If it expires during the season you are responsible to update it.

2. Follow the link to RAMP registrations: http://strathmorepolominoswpc.rampregistrations.com/

3. Log in or create an account

4. Under “Participant” registration, choose Season (2026-2027) & Account Member to Register (or add an account member)

5. Select Division

6. Select package (age group package based on birth year)
– Please note that the package price does not include the non-refundable AWPA and WPC fee, and this will have to be paid separately during registration

7. Enter required information; Review and sign waivers

Please note OPTIONAL: Donation to Water Polo Canada (2026-2027)-there is no obligation to donate-adjust your amount to reflect your preference.

8. NEW this season: Alberta Water Polo Association (AWPA) now requires each participant to upload proof of date of birth (ie: birth certificate, Alberta Health Care, drivers licence, passport) for age verification

9. Complete payment and submit. e-transfer to strathmorewaterpoloclub@gmail.com. For payment arrangements, email the SWPC. Your registration is not complete until payment has been made
*Note: After registering in the database, you will receive a confirmation email.

10. Once the Respect in Sport Parent Program is completed, ensure your certificate number is updated in your RAMP Registration Account. To do this, choose “My Account Members” from the menu on the left side of the screen. Select “Edit” under your child’s name, and enter the certification number in the Respect In Sport Parent Certificate # field and expiry date, located below the RAMP ID number.
You will be paying your Alberta Water Polo Association and Water Polo Canada Fees directly to these organizations through RAMP (the online registration). Strathmore Water Polo Club fees are paid directly yo the club (cash, cheque, or e-transfer)
